This privacy policy explains what data the Finansel mobile application ("App") collects, how it is collected, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and your rights. Contact: finansel.support@gmail.com
No artificial intelligence
Finansel does not use any third-party AI service and never sends your data to any AI service (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic or similar). The Financial Health score, risk level and suggestions in the App are calculated entirely on your device using fixed rules (savings rate, income/expense balance, category distribution). No data leaves your device for this calculation.
Using the App without an account
You can use the App without creating an account. In that case your financial records are stored only on your device and are never sent to any server.
Data we collect and how it is collected
1. Account information (only if you create an account): When you sign in with e-mail/password, a Google account, or Sign in with Apple (iOS only), you provide your name and e-mail address on the sign-in screen; they are stored via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). If you hide your e-mail with Sign in with Apple, we only receive Apple's private relay address. Use: signing you in, protecting and deleting your account.
2. Your finance data: Income/expense entries, categories, budgets, savings goals, recurring entries and family budget entries that you type in are stored on your device and, if you have an account, linked to your account on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) servers. Use: only to provide App features — cloud backup, cross-device sync, and sharing a family budget with the other members of that family. This data is never sold, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sent to AI services.
3. Advertising data: The App shows Google AdMob ads. AdMob may automatically process your device's advertising identifier and basic device information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Ads are not personalised and the App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. See https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. Crash and diagnostics data: To find and fix bugs, Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects anonymous crash reports and device diagnostics (device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash) when the App crashes.
5. Exchange rates: To show amounts in other currencies, the App downloads the current exchange-rate table from open.er-api.com. No personal data or financial records are sent with this request.
Data processed on your device
- Receipt scanning: The receipt photo is processed on your device with Google ML Kit text recognition; it is never uploaded or stored.
- Voice entry: What you say is converted to text by the operating system's speech recognition service (Apple on iOS, the device's speech service on Android). Apple/Google may process the audio for this under their own privacy policies. Finansel does not store or send the audio anywhere; only the resulting text becomes an entry, and only after you confirm it.
- Biometric lock: Face/fingerprint data stays in your device's secure hardware and is never passed to the App or any server.

No data is sent to any company not on this list. Every third party we share data with is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing terms to provide the same or equal protection of that data as described in this policy, and processes it only for the purpose listed above.
Data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data from Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete My Account Permanently". For accounts created with Sign in with Apple, the Apple authorization is also revoked. If you no longer have access to the App, e-mail finansel.support@gmail.com from your registered address; requests are completed within 30 days. Data used without an account is removed from the device when you delete the App.
Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud data is protected by Firebase security rules so that only your own account (and, for a family budget, only that family's members) can access it.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
Updates are published on this page. Before any change that expands how data is used (for example a new third party), you will be informed inside the App and asked for permission where required.
