Pip & Pop
Effective date: 23 September 2026
In short
We, the developer, collect no personal data. The app has no server, requires no account and contains no analytics. The games play offline. The app is free and shows ads; ads are served by Google AdMob, and Google collects some information from your device to do so (see below). No ads appear on screen while a game is being played.
Where and how often are ads shown?
- Banner: a small ad at the bottom of the main menu.
- Full-screen ad: only AFTER a match has ended, when you tap a button, and only now and then. The first 3 matches are ad-free; there are at least 3 matches and 3 minutes between two full-screen ads; at most 8 per day.
- Rewarded video: only if you choose. You start it with the button on the "Earn stars" page and receive in-game stars; at most 3 per day. Stars only unlock outfits in the game and have no money value.
- Users under 13, or if no year of birth was given, never see full-screen or video ads; only the menu banner remains.
What the app keeps on your device
The following stays only in your phone's own storage, is never sent anywhere, and is deleted when you uninstall the app:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Sound, music, vibration and language preference | So settings are not asked again on every launch |
| Match settings (length, difficulty, handicap) | To start games the way you chose |
| Year of birth | The answer to the age gate (see below) |
| Player names and symbols | Personalisation |
| Stars, unlocked and worn outfits | The wardrobe (outfit collection) |
| Challenge progress | To continue from the level you reached |
| Match counters, achievements, favourite games | Score, stats and badges |
| Ad frequency counters (time of last full-screen ad, daily counts) | To apply the ad limits above |
Why does it ask for a year of birth?
On first launch the app asks for your year of birth. This value:
- stays on your device and is never sent to any server;
- is used to decide which kind of advertising may be shown: no personalised ads under 18; under 13, or if no year was given, ad requests are tagged as child-directed, only a general-audience banner is requested and no full-screen or video ads are shown. The year itself is never sent to Google, only these tags;
- is not used as an identifier and is not combined with any other data.
Europe and the UK: ad consent
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google's consent form on first launch; it records your choice about personalised ads. You can change it at any time under Settings → Privacy options.
Permissions
The app asks for no camera, location, contacts, microphone or file access. On Android the advertising library adds the internet and advertising ID permissions (used only to load ads).
Children
The app does not target a specific age group; it is aimed at a mixed audience. For users under 13, ad requests are tagged under Google's child-directed rules (no personalisation, general-audience content only) and no full-screen or video ads are shown to them.
Advertising and third parties
Google AdMob (Google LLC) serves the banner, full-screen and rewarded video ads. To show ads, prevent fraud and measure ad performance it may collect your advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA, if permitted), IP address, device and app information and ad interactions. Google processes this data under its own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites . You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.
The only other third-party library is audioplayers, which plays the game sounds and collects no data. There are no analytics, crash reporting, in-app purchase or social network SDKs. Apart from the advertising data that goes to Google, no data about you reaches us or anyone else.
