Namesake

About the app

Namesake tells the story of a name using population data published openly by TÜİK, the Turkish Statistical Institute: how many people carry it, where it is common, which years it peaked and whether it is rising or fading today.

All the data is inside the app, so it works without internet or an account. If a name isn't in the list, it is looked up on TÜİK only when you ask. Namesake is not an official app and is not affiliated with TÜİK or any government agency.
